Kayaking in Alaska is not only a healthy recreation for body, mind and soul, but also a way to discover the wonders of ice nature and to take beautiful pictures! At the end of the 20 miles long Aialik Bay in Alaska's Kenai Fjords National Park, you arrive at the huge ice wall of Aialik Glacier. This glacier is not retreating, but ends its flow down into the calm waters of the bay. Fingers of fog cling to the hillsides along the shore of the Prince William Sound and create unforgettable vistas. This iceberg, calved from Valdez Glacier, seems the result of human work. In reality, he is eroded to this form by the action of tide, wind and weather. Knik Glacier (left), Colony Glacier and Lake George Glacier (right) creeps through the mountains just 50 miles North of Anchorage.
